Perhaps this kind of hate campaign against coastal Andhra or Rayalaseema Andhra people by Telangana Andhra people began and reached its peak during Rajasekharareddy’s time when real estate boom started. Many a land owners of Hyderabad and its surroundings became overnight lakhiers or Millionaires during this real estate boom.
Unfortunately people from the so called Telangana districts could not catch up with this real estate boom then they became envious of overnight riches of their brothern in Hyderabad city. Local leaders and landlords also became restive because of CA people’s hawa as regards to money.
May be then began witch hunting.
In fact coastal districts people are bringing money bags and emptying them in the City.
Already KCR as a tool in the hands of the Center waiting in the wings took the opportunity to his advantage. May be he fancies the idea of inheriting Nizam’s domains.
Armed rebellion of 1947-48 was fought against Doras, Rajakars and Nizam’s army by Telugu speaking people with the assistance of Communists both from Telangana districts and also Godavari Krishna Guntur and Nellore districts.
Surprisingly Ill feeling against Coastal Andhra people made Doras and common folk friends.
KCR against whose forefathers Telugu people fought in 1948 took favourite boy because of his demagoguery. KCR provided causes belli for the Center to divide the State of AP.
But let us examine how real estate boom began and wherefrom Coastal and Rayalaseema Andhras got money to buy lands in and around Hyderabad city. It is every one’s knowledge that earlier mainly people from coastal districts of AP,used to sell some properties in their native places and migrate to the City and build a house there for obvious reasons. Not for business. Even today all most all retail market is in the hands of Hyderabad and Telangana districts people only. But investments during real estate boom did not come from real incomes of coastal districts people. Money that was brought to the city must have had dazzled the eyes of natives. This money spent in purchase of lands in Hyderabad was not real income of Coastal dist. People. It was result of liberalization of economy by the Center. In those days Government by reducing CRR ratio consistently released money into the society to increase purchasing power of people of course to make people buy American goods. Banks used to call landed and propertied people and ask them to take Mortgage loans in which Bank would not ask for end use of the money that was lent. As happens elsewhere in the world this money was invested in real estate in and around the city. As there would be always ups and downs in markets of real estate some became karorpatis and some paupers. And as for the last one and one half years Center tightened money supply by increasing interest rates and stopped mortgage loans to check inflation all real estate business came to a standstill across the country not simply in the City of Hyderabad.

The above letter was written by me in response to a news item in Times of India, " Renuka asked to leave party meet for 'anti-Telangana' stand "A Telangana Congress meeting on Sunday turned raucous when former Union minister and Rajya Sabha MP Renuka Chowdhury was asked to leave by a few leaders for her alleged anti-Telangana stand.
